Our Community

Talgarno Primary school places a strong emphasis on the partnership between the school and home in student learning. Every opportunity is accessed for further skills and programs from visiting and community groups. The school community “believes that every student can learn and has a right to achieve personal goals”. 

The school is committed to providing encouragement and opportunities that enhance learning, confidence and self esteem. The school values its small caring environment which they believe caters for and nurtures each individual student. Parents strongly support the school with practical hands on maintenance, special programs, reading activities and fund raising. 

Community members provide donated calves and raise and sell the cattle with all proceeds going to the school. All households in the community receive the school newsletters and the school is utilized for various community activities.
